Black Eyes, Africa

Black

Like a pure diamond,
Your bright sun blinds the hunters.
Hence they peel you like a cat,
Leave you to dry in the wilderness.
But don't they know.
That your colour is unique.
Still, you're the prince yet to rule.

Like an infant,
Your milky accent attracts snakes.
But their lust only sucks all your brain.
Leaving you hungry and empty.
If only they knew.
Those black eyes.
Are of a fallen soldier yet to rise again.
